Subj: The health benefits of pineapple.

Pineapples are a true bodybuilding superfood:

This tropical fruit has a long list of vitemans and minerals that are essencial for any bodybuilding diet.

Pineapples have numerous health benefits that range from detoxing your body to improving digestion and boosting your immune system.

Pineapples taste delicious and can be a sweet treat when you’re dieting that won’t make you go overboard with your macros.

Take a look at the line up of vitamins, minerals and nutrients contained in this delicious tropical fruit:

  • Potassium (good for the blood and veins)
  • Copper
  • Manganese (good for strong bones)
  • Calcium (good for bones and teeth)
  • Vitamin C (Immune system health)
  • Beta Carotene (good for your eyes and vision)
  • Thiamin (a ‘B’ vitamin that converts food to energy)
  • B6 (converts food to energy)
  • Folate (helps will cell division)
  • Fiber (keeps your digestive tract healthy)
  • Bromelain (reduces inflammation and aids digestion)

So, what does that mean for a pineapple eater?

Nine Awesome Health Benefits of Pineapple

#1) Pineapple Boosts Immune System

Pineapple is loaded with immune-boosting vitamin C. Vitamin C is proven to bolster the immune system and help you stay healthy.

Vitamin C helps you body fight infection, heal from injury, and eliminate free radicals (basically ‘toxins’ that can cause cancer).

#2) Improved Digestion

Helps breakdown proteins for your body to use to repair and build muscles and tissue. Fiber helps keep your digestive tract healthy.

#3) Pineapple Keeps your Liver Clean and Healthy

Among the other health benefits of pineapple this is one of the more notable:

Your liver is the second largest organ in your body and it’s function is to clear toxins from the body. Pineapple helps keep your liver strong.

A lot of old school bodybuilders ate pineapple because it helped protect and heal their liver after taking steroids.

#4) Pineapple Increases Strength (Yes, Really)

Pineapples strengthen your bones. The stronger your bones are the stronger you can potentially be. (Since, you know, your bones support your muscles and everything.)

Strong bones support your body and are the framework for your muscles. The stronger your bones, the stronger (and larger) your muscles can be.

Pineapple has a good amount of manganese is essential for building strong bone  as well as their growth and repair. Manganese is the most prominent mineral in pineapple, and a single serving can deliver more than 70% of your daily requirement.

#5) Pineapple gives you Incredible Pumps

Eat some cottage cheese and pineapple before a workout and get yourself an amazing pump. The natural sugar in the pineapple will rush to your muscles filling them with nutrients and energy for a great workout.

#6) Pineapple Improves Circulation and Cognitive Abilities

The potassium in pineapple makes your veins dilate and more elastic. There’s also copper which is used to create red blood cells.

Red blood cells carry oxygen through your body. High red blood cell count increases oxygenation to the various organ systems and makes them function at optimal levels. Red blood cells also bring nutrients to your muscles helping them recover from hard workouts.

Increased oxygen in the bloodstream also increases cognitive abilities and can maintain neural pathways to prevent neural disorders like dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

This is why breathing is so important for overall health. Optimize the oxygen in your body with each breath with Pineapple.

#7) Eat Pineapple for Healthy Teeth and Gums

Oral Heath Pineapples are very powerful astringents and are often prescribed as a natural remedy to fix loosening of teeth or the the retraction of the gums.

#8) Protect Eye Sight

Pineapple contains beta carotene which is associated with vision and eye health.

#9) Pineapple helps reduce Inflammation

The bromelain in pineapple is know to reduce swelling and inflammation in joints and injuries. Bromelain is an enzyme that breaks down proteins and excess build up in the body.

Bromelain is especially affective at improving sinus infections and allergies because it reduces phlegm production and reduce discomfort associated with it.

People with arthoritis have experienced benefits from pineapple do the natural bromelain it provides.

So, there you have it. As you can see there are plenty pineapple health benefits and pineapple is an amazing food that is good for you and tastes great. Add a serving or two of pineapple to your daily diet and see if you can see the benefits. (definitely have some cottage cheese and pineapple before a workout – you have to try it, the pump is unreal, and natural).

P.S. I’m not a doctor. I use common sense and educate and experiment with this stuff personally. This is my opinion and facts I’ve gathered from research. This is not medical advice. Although the health benefits of pineapple are amazing, it’s not a miracle cure. Talk to a doctor if you have illness/symptoms or deficiencies.
