Never Ever, Ever, Ever, Ever, Ever, Ever Give Up

By Jordan Leave a Comment | Last updated on February 6, 2022

You want to know how people make it?

They never give up.

Even when they’re down and out and all seems lost, they find a way.

When Sylvester Stallone pitched his ‘Rocky’ movie he was thrown out of studios over 1,500 times.

He slept on park benches and was so broke that he sold his dog, his only friend in the world, just so he had money to eat.

Even though all this, he never lost heart. He just kept swinging and his 1,501st attempt was successful and the rest is history. Rocky became an international hit and turned Stallone into an Icon overnight.

Perseverance is Key to Success

It doesn’t matter what life throws at them.

They find away around it. If they can’t get around it, then they go through it. When they can’t go through it, they go over it. If they can’t go over it, they go under it.

They don’t quit. If there’s a will there’s a way.

Nothing of this world is more powerful than the human will.

I’ve failed a lot in my life. I wanted to quit. But I didn’t. Most things can be accomplished if you simply gut it out.

Failure just means that you’re pushing yourself. Failure means growth, as long as you keep trying.

I used to smoke cigarettes. It was a nasty habit and powerful addiction.

I tried to quit for over a year unsuccessfully.

I’d go for days without a smoke, then relapse.

I probably ‘quit smoking’ dozens of times. Only to get an itch and buy another pack.

But, I never tried to quit quitting and eventually I quit smoking for good.

Since then I’ve never looked back.

Never Give Up. Never Stop Trying.

I think the same goes for fitness and life.

If you start a new diet or workout routine, there’s bound to be ups and downs.

When training for my bodybuilding competition, I binged uncontrollably on several occasions. The urge to eat is strong and very hard to control sometimes. It’s the effort to keep pressing on that counts.

If you get knocked off track, get back on course quickly and stay on as long as you can.

A lapse in willpower isn’t the end of the world. Consider it a lesson learned and try again.

You may fail at your diet. But don’t quit.

You may fail at your job. Don’t quit. Get ’em next time.

You might get reject by that girl. There’s plenty of fish in the sea, Jack. Get one of them or change your approach.

You either win or you learn. Take your ‘L’s’ for all they’re worth. They only make you stronger if you have the right mindset.

Just realize that each failure brings you one step closer to success.

As long as you never give up YOU CANNOT FAIL.
